Masterclass: LISAA welcomes Edwina Liard, producer at Ikki Films
For its second masterclass led by journalist Francis Gavelle, LISAA Animation & Video Games welcomes Edwina Liard, producer at Ikki Films.
The 2nd masterclass at LISAA Animation & Video Games
On Thursday, 14th November, as part of the masterclasses led by journalist Francis Gavelle, students from LISAA Animation & Video Games will have the opportunity to meet Edwina Liard, producer at Ikki Films, whose latest production, Sheep, Wolf and a Cup of Tea by Marion Lacourt, received the 2019 Emile-Reynaud Prize, awarded by AFCA members.
On this occasion, LISAA Animation & Video Games students will have the opportunity to chat with the producer, who also co-founded Ikki Films in 2011.
Guest speaker Edwina Liard
Edwina Liard started out in audiovisual production in 2007, at Films du Bélier. In 2009 she moved to Valencia in Spain and started working for La Cabina, International Medium-Length Film Festival in Valencia, as head of the film department and, from 2012, as a member of the selection committee for the official competition.
Ikki Films – successful short film producer
In 2011, Edwina Liard founded Ikki Films with Nidia Santiago. For eight years now, the production company has produced short films, most of which are animated, such as Chulyen, A Crow Story by Cerise Lopez and Agnès Patron (awarded at Go Short and Hiroshima among others), Negative Space by Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata (nominated for an Oscar in 2018, winner of the Fipresci Prize in Annecy in 2018) and recently Sheep, Wolf and a Cup of Tea by Marion Lacourt.
