WHAT SKILLS WILL YOU ACQUIRE ?

This bachelor's degree in graphic design is a visual communication program. The challenge we are preparing you for is to combine a creative sense with commercial and marketing techniques, to create images that convey a message, that have an advertising or militant objective, etc.

At the end of this 2-year Bachelor's program, you will be able to :

  • Define a graphic design project
  • Design and produce a print or digital graphic design project
  • Design and produce a motion design project
  • Design and produce an interface design project
  • Develop your activity as a graphic designer: build your personal brand, create your portfolio, define your visual identity

HOW DOES THE BACHELOR GRAPHIC DESIGN PROGRAM AT LISAA PARIS WORK?

This post-baccalaureate training in graphic design combines theoretical and practical courses in graphic design with internships in the school's partner companies: you will have to complete a compulsory internship between your 2nd and 3rd years, but it is quite possible to complete a contracted internship as early as the 1st year if you wish.

Admission is subject to both the presentation of a file and an oral interview. The interview allows a discussion about the candidate's background and ambitions. The objective is to to gauge his motivation and the potential of his or her academic profile to suit the specificities of a profession in graphic design. Students can join in at the beginning of every year (1st, 2nd or 3rd year).

A PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

The course is taught by active professionals who are established in their area of expertise, and brings together theoretical and practical classes with several work placements at the school’s partner companies. This teaching programme is recognised by the Ministry of Culture and Communication and is listed 3rd best private school in graphic design by professionals (L'Étudiant).

STATE-REGISTERED QUALIFICATION*

The design/graphic design course takes place over three years. Graduates are awarded a level 6 qualification*. Students can join in at the beginning of every year (1st, 2nd or 3rd year).

*The IDAA-LISAA professional certification "Graphic Designer" is being renewed at level 6 by France Compétences. Any registered person will be able to obtain the certification when registering in accordance with the set procedures.

WHAT'S NEXT ?

At the end of this Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, you will be able to enter the job market or continue your training as a graphic designer with the master's degree in Digital Art Direction, which offers you 3 different universes:

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

External applications: presentation of curriculum vitae and portfolio. Oral admission interview.

Internal applicants: examination of the academic record.

The interview will focus on the assessment of the level of general, artistic and technical culture: presentation of personal work: drawings, illustrations, photos, graphic work, video work, motion, app, web, personal research, etc.

The results of the admissions interviews are communicated within 15 days.

PREREQUISITES

To enter the 2-year program, i.e. to enter the Bachelor 2 program, you must:

  • hold a baccalaureate and/or a level 4 RNCP title and have completed a preparatory course at LISAA,
  • have completed a BAC + 1 in an applied arts program or similar, acceptance possible upon presentation of a portfolio and interview, 
  • Students with a baccalaureate in applied arts or similar may be accepted upon presentation of a portfolio and interview. 

To enter the program in parallel admission, i.e. to enter the Bachelor 3 program, you must

  • to have followed and validated the 2nd year training program in the establishment.
  • Students who have completed a second year of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in graphic arts or similar may be accepted upon presentation of a portfolio and an interview.

Parallel admissions are possible on the advice of the educational director via an examination of the student's work file plus a motivational interview and on justification of the ECTS credits, depending on the case, in order to verify and validate the suitability of the profile for the professions targeted by the program.

Specific exemptions: if the candidate does not have the required experience or diploma, he/she must present a portfolio demonstrating his/her ability to validate the professional certification (VAP, employer's certificate or other proof of professional, personal or associative experience allowing the acquisition of related skills...).

A semester of study at prestigious London art school Central Saint Martins
Since the start of the 2019 academic year, LISAA Graphic Design Paris students have been able to follow a semester of the Digital Art Direction course in one of the prestigious international universities with which LISAA has established partnership agreements. Alice Blanc is one of a handful of students to have had this opportunity: for the past month, she has been studying at Central Saint Martins in London.
