A brand new academic year
For the beginning of this school year, LISAA Paris reveals its new look: new courses, new premises and new teaching facilities.
BRINGING A STRONG MARKETING AND MANAGERIAL DIMENSION TO THE CREATIVE PROCESS
In response to a strong demand from professionals and recruiters in the industry, for September 2015, LISAA is launching new courses linked to previous courses that are more orientated towards marketing and management. For fashion, the Fashion Design & Business course will be launched, enabling students to study aspects of fashion design by associating them with more advanced marketing, communications and managerial issues.
LISAA is also launching a bachelor’s degree in Design Management in partnership with the MHMK Macromedia University of Berlin. This course will reinforce the students’ sense of project management and will prepare them to enter into the job market.
MORE INTERNATIONAL COURSES IN ENGLISH AND WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS
LISAA is also launching several international courses with classes exclusively in English. A way of welcoming new non-French speaking international students, but also of enriching its establishments with diverse cultures. Also an advantage for French students wishing to perfect their English and their knowledge of the world from Paris.
Furthermore, LISAA is strengthening its international collaborations with the German MHMK Macromedia University, with which it is launching a management course, and also the Mexican university Puebla IEU, with which several teaching exchanges are planned.
MODERNISATION OF TEACHING FACILITIES
At the beginning of the academic year, two Paris departments are moving: Fashion is moving to the Latin Quarter, and Graphic Design will be closer to Denfert-Rochereau. As such, LISAA consolidates its wish to establish its premises in the heart of the capital’s student neighbourhoods and to maintain its role in Parisian student life.
LISAA is also benefitting from this move to reinforce the quality of its teaching facilities, with new photo and sound studios, a projection room, and two studios for sewing and screen-printing in addition to the fablab equipped with the latest tools – 3-D printers, laser cutter, tracer – and the motion capture, post-synchronisation and colour grading studios installed in 2015.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Students wishing to know more about careers in design and courses are invited to the LISAA careers day on 12th December.
Open days will also take place on 6th-7th February and 2nd-3rd April 2016.
