Umbrellas for the Bouroullec brothers
In conjunction with the three exhibitions in Rennes dedicated to Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the students from the interior architecture and design course at LISAA Rennes designed and produced a symbolic object from the event that will be given to visitors: an umbrella!
SPOTLIGHT ON THE BOUROULLEC BROTHERS IN RENNES
From March to August 2016, the Champs Libres, the Brittany FRAC and the Parlement of Brittany are teaming up to honour the international design stars Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec in their respective venues.
CREATING AN UMBRELLA AS A SYMBOL FOR THE EVENT
In order to create a link between these three exhibitions, the three organisations have asked students from the interior architecture and design course at LISAA Rennes to design and produce a symbolic object from the event. Seeing an umbrella as the perfect object to accompany and shelter visitors, the students worked on this object.
On the 29th February, a judging panel of representatives from the Champs Libres and the project manager for the Bouroullec Brothers exhibition selected the best project among all of the students’ propositions. The judges were impressed by the quality of the umbrellas, the sense given to each, the materials and the thought that went in to the use of this object.
We will let you know more about the winning umbrella project very soon!
