"Devotion", directed by LISAA Animation & Video Games students, screened at festivals
Directed by LISAA Animation graduates of 2018, "Devotion" has now been selected for several festivals.
On the road to success
Already selected at the Festival du court-métrage de Vélizy, "Devotion" is continuing along the path of success. Made by LISAA Animation & Video Games students as part of their end-of-studies project, the 3-D animated film has now been nominated at several international festivals.
A metaphor for literary criticism, Devotion portrays stone figures carrying huge books on their backs—characters advancing towards judgement despite the obstacles they face.
This animated film has been hailed a success by the New Vision International Film Festival in Amsterdam, the Dumbo Film Festival in New York, the Festival du film Merveilleux & Imaginaire in Paris, the Santiago Independent Film Festival (SIFF) (Chile) in the Best Animation category and recently by PIAFF, the Paris International Animation Film Festival 2019, where it will be screened on 17th September, 2019.
New Vision International Film Festival, Amsterdam
Each year, the New Vision International Film Festival (NVIFF) screens feature films, documentaries, short films, animations and screenplays by new talents.
This international festival allows the films that are presented to reach out across the world. Each year, a jury awards the best films.
Devotion is competing in the "Best Animation" category and will be screened on 26th September in the presence of directors.
Dumbo Film Festival, New York
Each year, the Dumbo Film Festival rewards established and emerging filmmakers. Based in the chic New York neighbourhood of Dumbo, the festival not only gives artists exposure, but also enables them to share in discussions and screenings. The festival rewards films each year in different categories.
