Film created by LISAA students to be screened at the 42nd SIGGRAPH Conference in Los Angeles
“Le son des flammes”, an animated film created by LISAA Paris students (class of 2014), will be screened at SIGGRAPH—the 42nd International Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques—in Los Angeles, from the 11th-13th August, 2015.
SIGGRAPH is the biggest conference worldwide on the themes of animation, special effects and digital imaging techniques. Professionals from these fields come together every year in a city in the US or Canada, to present their latest technical developments, work and processes in the form of conferences, round-table meetings and exhibitions.
“Le son des flammes” will be screened in front of thousands of professionals from around the world, alongside other works including those from the most prestigious studios. This animated film, developed over nine months by fourth year students at LISAA Paris, is a hybrid work mixing 2-D and 3-D animation techniques. The film is accompanied by an original soundtrack. It has already received several awards, including that of best short film at the CINI Festival and has also been selected at several other festivals.
