The reverse class: an innovative and effective teaching method

Vincent Peterlongo, web and computer graphics teacher at LISAA Paris Graphic Design, has put in place the concept of inverted classes for his students. We find out more.

WHAT IS AN INVERTED CLASS?

It’s a method that turns the traditional class on its head! The concept is simple: students learn and review their lessons at home through a video, then practice and ask the teacher questions at school. It’s an effective teaching method, tried and tested at LISAA.

AN INNOVATIVE AND EFFICIENT TEACHING METHOD

Vincent Peterlongo's classes are based on this innovative concept, "allowing the teacher to focus on their students’ difficulties," explains the web and computer graphics teacher at LISAA Paris Graphic Design, who takes the time to make his videos at home.

He then sends the link to his students, who are then obliged to study at home, since their knowledge will then be tested at school.

BENEFITS OF INVERTED CLASSES

Nowadays, everyone can watch a video at home and learn on their own. At LISAA, this method provides students with additional professional contact.

Students ask questions, learn faster and have personalised support. "They are more attentive during lessons, they practice more and help each other. Everyone goes at their own pace and the teacher is available for everyone," explains Vincent Peterlongo.
