LISAA x Thalassa Partnership

Students from the masters' course in Digital Art Direction at LISAA worked for Thalassa in the framework of a simulated agency.

PROJECTS FOR THALASSA’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY

For the 40th anniversary of the famous French television programme Thalassa, and in the context of COP 21, Morgane Ghirardi, Claire-Marie Bassaler and Julien Amice, three students on the advanced course in Digital Art Direction (equivalent to a master’s), designed and produced two digital projects.

A DECK OF CARDS

The first digital project is an animated or static deck of cards presenting key figures on the ocean. Click here to find out more.

AN INTERACTIVE MAP

The second project is an interactive map for educational purposes that collates the main data on our oceans and, above all, the big ecological problems that they are facing. This map is a technical tour de force: completely coded in SVG, it brings together hundreds of pieces of data. Click here to find out more.

Master Digital Art Direction
The art director has a key role working directly with an advertiser or within an agency: they are responsible for their client’s image, brand or company in the sense that they come into play whenever this is on show. Students learn how to implement a communications strategy and concepts and then translate these into graphics that can be adapted to all visual, digital or printed media.
