Special Effects professions in the cinema – a fast-growing industry!
On Friday 15th December 2017 LISAA is taking part in a day dedicated to the professions in the creation of cinema special effects at the Cité des Sciences in Paris – a great opportunity for students to meet professionals in this little known but booming field.
VFX – A FAST GROWING INDUSTRY
On Friday 15th December, two third-year Special Effects bachelor’s classes from LISAA Paris are taking part in a careers day focusing on the professions involved in this type of cinematographic and audio-visual process. This event has been organised in the auditorium at the Cité des Sciences de Paris by the school ArtFX as part of the temporary exhibition "Special Effects Steal the Screen!"
Throughout the day, several roundtables and conferences will present the different professions and training courses in the industry. Joan Da Silva, the principal of LISAA School of Animation, VFX and Video Games, will take part in this event in order to present the school’s teaching, which trains experts in this field.
A PROFESSIONAL DAY
xThis day is also a great opportunity for the future graduates to meet many professionals: a number of experts and recruiters – as well as teams who have worked on films such as Blade Runner 2049, Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, Alien: Covenant, Kingsman and Thor: Ragnarok – will be in attendance.
