This course is a specialisation of the Graphic Design Bachelor.

HOW DOES THE COURSE UNFOLD?

The first year is common to all courses. This multidisciplinary year allows students to acquaint themselves with all the design professions and to guide their choice of specialisation for the second year: graphic design or interior architecture & design.

The next two years are specialised in graphic design: graphic design, illustration, motion design... you will cover all the components of the professions and can choose to deepen your skills in illustration and motion design, thanks to the choice of this option in the third year.

MOTION DESIGN AND ILLUSTRATION

Motion design is "graphic design in motion". In the first instance, students learn digital animation techniques. They have to integrate movement as an element of visual language in its own right.

Motion Design is the art of communicating a message, an intention, through an animated image by amplifying it through movement, by making the message clearer or more powerful or more dynamic... depending on the client's intentions. This discipline implies a mastery of graphic and visual signs to which is added the narrative dimension and the management of time and rhythm. In a second phase, students are encouraged to apply motion design to the various media in use: music videos, information or advertising motion design, wraps and banners for the web, etc.

In the same training period, the skills of a motion designer are combined with those of an illustrator. Illustration is the art of composing a message in accordance with the expectations of a client through a visual representation that can use different techniques of expression: drawing, of course, but also computer graphics, collage, photomontage, etc. It is an essential discipline in the print and digital communication professions: publishing, advertising, social networks, cartoon animation, etc.

This discipline allows students to acquire a personal style and to be able to adapt it to the various subjects on which they will work during their career. To do this, they learn to master the techniques of illustration (drawing, collage, photomontage, animation, etc.) and the main tools of graphic design, and to respond to different types of commissions: illustration for children, advertising, publishing, social networks.

A RECOGNISED TEACHING METHOD

The course is taught by working professionals, recognised in their sector, and combines theoretical and creative courses with internships in the school's partner companies. This educational programme has earned LISAA recognition from the Ministry of Culture, and is ranked 3rd among the private graphic design courses preferred by professionals (L'Étudiant).

A LEVEL 6 TITLE RECOGNISED BY THE STATE*.

The illustration/design author course takes place in 3 years or in 2 years after a foundation year. The training can be integrated from the 1st year or during the course (2nd or 3rd year).

It leads to a level 6 qualification*. The certifying nature of the training and its relevance to the needs of the labour market are recognised by the State and the European Qualifications Framework.

The Bachelor's degree can be extended by a Master's degree in Digital Art Direction. In 2 years, with the possibility of following it in a sandwich course, this course perfectly completes the Motion Designer training. There are 3 options for the course: animated media, 360° communication or UX Design, which will enable you to enter the job market with significant professional experience.

*The IDAA-LISAA professional certification "Graphic Designer" is being renewed at level 6 by France Compétences. Any registered person will be able to obtain the certification when registering in accordance with the set procedures.
