Interior Architecture students design senior accommodation for Korian
As part of a partnership with Korian, interior architecture and design students from LISAA Paris responded to a challenge set by the leading French group in its field, in order to design the senior accommodation of tomorrow.
DESIGNING A SUITABLE PRIVATE SPACE
Students in Interior Architecture and Design at LISAA Paris rose to the challenge set by the Korian group, a specialist in accommodation adapted to senior citizens. For this, they designed assisted living for the seniors of tomorrow.
Korian called upon LISAA students to design private and convivial apartments equipped in a way that facilitates the everyday life of senior citizens, whilst preventing dangerous situations. The interior architect students came up with communal circulation enabling residents to walk around while bringing a feeling of warmth and calm.
THE SENIOR REVOLUTION
The ageing demographic explosion is an economic and social opportunity that goes beyond the field of care for senior citizens. Faced with this new demographic context, it is essential to rethink the current offer of services.
Senior citizens have changed and their lives have evolved. Ageing well happens through a varied and better-adapted offer – and increasingly so – of prevention, personalised health care, and advances in robotics and connected objects.
KORIAN, THE LEADING EUROPEAN SPECIALIST IN AGEING WELL
The Korian Group, European leader in the senior care sector, today manages the largest European network of senior nursing homes, specialist clinics, assisted living facilities and home care services with more than 710 establishments.
