LISAA Paris participates in Jardins Jardin
Third year students in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at LISAA Paris are taking part in the 11th edition of Jardins Jardin at the Tuileries Garden from the 6th-9th June, 2014. They are exhibiting 11 projects on the theme of “Furry Balconies and Feathered Terraces” in the space dedicated to design and schools.
An intimate theme
This year, designers and teachers Assia Quétin and Bruno Tainturier, chose a recurring problem in urban life: privacy. The students proposed aesthetic shelters to protect themselves from being seen, noise and the elements. They also created animal shelters and garden tools, installable in gardens, terraces or balconies.
The winning project of the Innovation Award at Jardins Jardin
Lauren Germain and Aurore Pulwermacher, 2 students in thearchitecture and interior design program at LISAA Paris received the innovation prize at Jardins Jardin for their project Rest’ool. This construction allows both tool storage and rest. It is divided into two compartments that allow the mower to be stored on one side and the tools of the other.
A partnership with a landscape design agency
These projects were realized in collaboration with Balcoon, a landscape design agency specialized in balconies and apartment terraces. These professionals mentored students for several weeks from the beginning until the completion of their project.
